Holy Trinity Catholic School prides itself on its fine arts curriculum and has the following clubs and organizations that provide students further outlets for these gifts and talents:

Fine Arts Groups

After-school Art Classes are offered by Mary Liz Loar, our art teacher here at Holy Trinity. There are four 8-week classes offered throughout the school year as well as summer classes.  Each class offers students more time to explore a specific area in art and the opportunity for one on one instruction which can help them master their skills.  Each class is designed to focus on a specific area of art and the mediums used to execute them.

The cost is $80 per child per 8-week session and includes all supplies needed. Classes are being offered to students in grades K-8th. Sign up is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is limited to 18 students.

Students will be called to the lobby at the completion of carline and picked up by Mrs. Loar. When the class is over (4:45 pm) they will be escorted to you in carline or to the Before and After School Program if they are enrolled. Students are encouraged to bring a snack to class. Snacks must be nut-free.

All of us at the HTCS Music Learning Band Program are excited to have the opportunity to work with the students at Holy Trinity. The Music Leaming Band Program provides the most comprehensive band program for musicians of all ages in the Dallas and Ft. Worth Area. Our program teaches the fundamentals of music and band to students of all levels while combining a great mix of social events and unique performance opportunities. Through our advanced Honor Band Program, even the most advanced musician will be challenged and prepared for band at the high school and collegiate level.

Music Learning Band is Not Your Ordinary School Band Program!

In-School Band Activities

Band Classes will meet two days every week right here at Holy Trinity.  We offer two different levels of band, with students grouped together by experience.  Beginner band is for new band  members  without any prior experience in band, Concert band is for band members with at least one year experience on an instrument, The two different ensembles will perform individually and collectively throughout the school year.

Area-Wide Enrichment Classes

Holy Trinity Band Members are also members of the entire Music Learning Band Program.  This allows your band members to collaborate and perform with band members from area schools for big concerts and events throughout the school year. We host Saturday Enrichment classes twice a month open to all students in our program. These free, additional classes reinforce and enhance what the band members learn during the week at their school.

Richardson Christmas & Holiday Parade/Concert

In December, all band members perform in the Richardson Christmas Parade. This is the first concert for the Beginning Band members. Last year over 630 young musicians performed in the parade! This unique opportunity to play for a huge audience, including TV cameras, newspaper photographers, and other local media, gives the musicians a chance to really shine.

Annual Spring Tour

One of the most exciting experiences of being in a band is going on tour!  Each year Music Learning musicians perform a concert tour outside the metroplex. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend the annual tour with their young musicians. Our past destinations have included Memphis, TN, Houston, TX, Winter Park, CO, Galveston, TX, and San Antonio, TX. We have performed at Graceland Mansion, the Memphis Zoo, the Bill Clinton Presidential Library, NASA Space Center Houston, Moody Gardens, The Alamo, Natural Bridge Caverns, Sea World, and more! In 2013, the band performed in Keystone, CO for a Spring Concert Tour and Ski Trip! The bands performed at the base of the mou ntain as the skilifts closed in the afternoon. The rest of the week, band members and their families spent hours skiing and snowboarding across the entire Keystone Resort. Many students bring their whole family with them on the annual Spring Concert Tour. The March 2016 Spring Tour will return to Keystone during your Spring Break.
